Steak Pit - Aspen
The Steak
Pit is one of the oldest restaurants in Aspen. It has
been opened for about 50 years now. This restaurant
offers hand-cut, house-aged steaks. Also included on the
menu is seafood and a good salad bar. Reservations are
required for groups with twelve people or more.
The Steak
Pit has been operating since 1960 and has been serving
locals and guests from all over. The style in the Steak
Pit give a warm and comforting feeling. Not only does
this restaurant offer the best steak in Aspen but also
daily fresh seafood which always include crab and
lobster on the menu. Also on the menu are many different
appetizers such as steamed artichoke, home made onion
rings, and saut�ed mushroom caps. As for dessert, they
have a world famous hot fudge which is hand made by the
owners Bob and Cindy.
The Steak
Pit has had the same wait staff for 25 years. They are
very friendly and have been consistently. The restaurant
itself is very family friendly and also have a great
kids menu. Many people who visit The Steak Pit say you
will get exactly what you order. The meat is fresh and
cooked how it was ordered. The Steak Pit is also an
award winning restaurant
As for the
menu at the Steak Pit, there are many different kinds of
cuisines to choose from which make the experience even
more relaxing. Some f the appetizers that are on the
menu are Stuffed Mushrooms, Smoked Trout, Crab Cakes,
Fried Calamari and Rock Shrimp, French Fried Onion
Rings, Saut�ed Mushroom Caps and much more. The House
Specialties are Prime Rib, Top Sirloin, Steak Rib Eye,
New York Strip, Filet Mignon, Lamb Sirloin, and Beef
Kabob. On the Fish and Seafood menu there is Grilled
Salmon, Fresh Scallops, King Crab Legs, Grilled lobster
Tails, Sole Florentine, and a nightly seafood special
called Surf and Turf which includes East Coast Lobster
Tail, Alaskan King Crab, Fresh Seared Scallops, and
Grilled Butterflied Jumbo Mexican Prawns. As for the
dessert menu there is a Mocha Pie, Key Lime Pie, Cr�me
Brule, Chocolate Kahlua Toffee Mousse Torte, Warm Apple
Tart, and many more. Included on the kids menu is the
Salad Bar only, Chicken Tenders with french fries,
Hamburger or Cheeseburger, and buttered noodles.
There is
also a Bar menu that is separate called the Double Dog
Pub. This menu includes Top Sirloin with Red Wine
Shallot Sauce, Shaved Prime Rib Sandwhich on Asiago
Ciabatta Roll, Beer Battered Fish and Chips, Fried
Calamari and Rock Shrimp, Parmesan Battered Zucchini
Sticks, Crab Cakes with Ginger Chili Sauce, and much
more.
