Colterra
Restaurant - Boulder
The
Colterra Restaurant is owned by Bradford Heap who is
also the chef. Bradford is very passionate about
working with local farmer, ranchers, and purveyors.
There is a spirit combined with his vision of the French
and Italian training frame. Bradford also has an on site
vegetable garden which ensures he keeps everything as
fresh as possible.
The
Journey of the Colterra Restaurant is a happy story. It
begins with Bradford's love and beauty of preparing
food. He has traveled all over the United States which
includes the French countryside and the rustic Italian
dwellings and then back to Colorado's majestic Rocky
Mountains. Bradford describes Colterra as the foundation
behind his vision to the art of food and health.
Bradford attended the Culinary institute in New York in
his twenties which was part of his dream. He studied at
LiOrangerie in Los Angeles and trained in San Francisco
at la Folie. Bradford felt that his training and
studying gave him the courage and experience he needed
to set out and make his dream a reality, which was to
open his own restaurant now known as Colterra.
Colterra
has a Sunday Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Supper,
Dessert, Wine, and After Dinner Beverages on the menu.
As for the Sunday Brunch menu it includes Buffalo Hash,
Smoked Salmon Benedict, Pan Roasted Tilapia, Mushroom
Omelet, Angus Benedict, Buffalo Reuben, Linguini
Bolognese, and much much more. As for the Lunch menu
there are sandwiches such as a Chicken Club, Buffalo
Reuben, Seared Ahi Tuna. For Entrees on the lunch menu
there is Wild Hawaiian Mahi Salad, Curry Chicken Salad,
Pan Roasted Tilapia, Risotto of the Day, Grilled N.Y.
Strip Steak, and more. A few things from the Dinner menu
are small plates and large plates. The small plates
include Salad, Fish, Meat, Charciterie, and different
cheeses. The large plates include Vegetables, Fish, and
Meat. For the Sunday Supper it is a tradition on Sunday
to have a three course meal, seasonally inspired prix
fixe dinner. On the dessert menu there is a Warm
Molten Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee, Potage
au Chocolate, and much more. As for the Wine selection,
there is Champagne and Sparkling 187ml, White wine, and
Red wine. The wine can be by the glass or bottle. The
after dinner beverages include dessert wine, port &
sherry, dessert martinis, cognac, armagnac, & spirit,
small batch bourbon & single malt, and cordials &
liquors.
The
Colterra Restaurant also hold private events. They want
to be a part of families creating memorable experiences.
They are very specific when it comes to details about
your event, they want your event to be distinctive and
bring you beauty, ease, and grace. There is the Colterra
House that holds private events such as receptions,
birthday dinners, anniversary dinners and more. There is
also the historic Gables for private dining that holds
40 people and the Garden Patio with seating for 50
guests.
