Armadillo Restaurant -Denver
The Armadillo Restaurant
is not just a place to eat, it is a family-oriented
restaurant and was made by a family. It starts deep in
the roots of northern Mexico, this being the place where
a young beautiful woman was a great cook. The
first standard Armadillo menu was officially made in
1972, created by Lucio. Eight years later the Lucio
family opened their first satellite location in Fort
Collins. All in all the Lucio family has been cooking
great tasting Mexican food for customers since the
1970's using their Great Great Grandmothers recipes. All
the food is made in-house and made fresh from scrap
everyday. There are seven locations that Louie and his
daughter Vanessa Lucio run together.
The Armadillo Traditions
include the Burrito Supreme, Enchilada Torte, Chicken
Torte, Mexican Hamburger, Armarito, Tamale Dinner, Chile
Relleno Dinner, and Tostada Grande. The Armadillo Sauces
are Green Chile, Red Chile, Mole, Del Mar, Healthy "Dillo"
Green Chile, Healthy "Dillo" Red Chile, Ranchero, and
Hot Green Chile.
They also have a Sunday
Brunch which is All you can eat. Its traditional Mexican
breakfast dishes which include breakfast rellenos, migas,
breakfast chimichangas, breakfast burritos, and much
more. There is also traditional breakfast dishes such as
waffles, eggs, Omelet's, and more.
On the Appetizers menu
there is Chile Con Queso, Fresh Guacamole, Taquitos,
Regular Nachos, Machaca Nachos, Combination Nachos, New
Armadillo Signature Hot Wings, The Armadillo
Combination, Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Burrito, and
Armadillo Omelet. On the Salad portion of the menu there
is a Taco Salad, Fiesta Chicken Salad, and Garden Salad.
For Soups there are Menudo, Tortilla Soup, and Chicken
Soup. Quesadillas and Sandwiches are also available for
a meal. There are also many different combinations to
choose from as well as Create-A-Combo. For Desserts
there is Fried Ice Cream, Flan, and Sopapilla Basket &
Honey. They also have many drink specials and monthly
specials.
